I'm tired of people telling me how to run my life and what not to do when it's stuff they do themselves. Ya know?? I'm in an annoyed mood at the moment - nothing in particular brought this on, I was just thinkin'. People telling me not to drink when they drink like fish themselves. People who smoke telling me not to smoke. If it's so wrong, what gives YOU the right to do it..? People telling me not to drink coffee when they drink three pots of it a day. People telling me to wait until marriage to have sex, when they sleep around, have cybersex, and have one-night-stands. People acting as if going to college is expected of me, when they never went themselves and/or their own children did not. College isn't for everybody. I'm not saying here that I'm going to start drinking or smoking or having sex before marriage - I have no desire to. I'm allergic to smoke, and I hate the smell of alcohol, so you mustn't worry, there. The sex part...yeah, I know it'll be very difficult but I hope I'll be able to stay strong and do what's right and not give in to temptation. But I guess I won't know how I'll react until I'm in the situation. And the college people...wtf? It's MY life - if I'm going to do something, I'm going to make sure it's something I want to do and is something I'm going to be happy with. I'm not going to college for YOU. I'm not going to let myself be pressured into doing something because it's what relatives want. As of right now, I don't yet have any idea what I want to do in life. Once I figure it out, I'll consider higher education, and if I do consider it, it's going to be for ME, not for THEM.
I'm not saying that any of these people are wrong, it's just... why don't you focus on your own imperfections? If smoking is wrong, quit. You're obviously admitting it's bad by telling me not to do it. If drinking is wrong, don't do it. If having sex is wrong, stop sleeping around. And if you want somebody to go to college, why don't YOU? You go right ahead - I'm not going to stop you, nor am I going to pressure you, but I will support whatever decision you make if it's what you want to do and I know you'll be happy doing it. All I ask is that you stop being a hypocrite and start working on your own flaws, rather than point out the ones I have and what I can do to fix them, or tell me not to do something that you're still doing. Every time this happens I think of Matthew 7:3-5.
......okay, it's been half an hour since I wrote the above - I just ate, so I'm feeling better about life in general, now. LOL. I get moody and overly-annoyed when I'm hungry. But whatever, I'll still post this anyway... just to vent. I apologize if this sounded bitter, I just needed to let it all out. I'm better now :-D

That passage from Matthew is just before one of my all-time favs: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Right on sister! *claps* You tell them like it is! If they want you to go to college so bad, why don't they? Why can't a sister be left alone and make her own decisions?!
CAN I HAVE AN AMEN?!!
(Amen!)
I'm glad you feel better. Don't let those people get you down. Sit. Relax. Have a nectarine. XD
I KNOW RIGHT? And AMEN SISTER!!! *Reverand Cleophus and the entire choir go insane* "Let us all (all go back)...To the Old (Old landmark)...Let us all (all go back)...To the Old (Old landmark)...Let us all (all go back)
To the Old (Old landmark)...Let us all to the Old (all go back Old Landmark)...Jesus, ohh! (He's my Lord, oh, my Lord)"
..um..yeah. So anyway. I'll go have a nectarine.

You know in this world you will have people telling you what & what not to do, when most of them are doing it themselves. You do what is right for you. What bothers me is that Jesus was a teacher for the sinners as well as the saved, however alot of Church people don't see it that way. I believe a person can pray & talk to God & Jesus in their own closet. After all a church is a building & will be destroyed at the end of time anyway. Jesus has to be in the heart.
