you gotta check out this movie if you are a Skynyrd fan "Elizabethtown" is great and chock full of musical cameos. From the great soundtrack to the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd posters in the guys house(Skynyrd), and his statement that he was home schooling his little boy - "I teach him about Abe Lincoln and Ronnie Van Zant, because they are both equally important"- that was cool, not to mention playing "Freebird" at his Dad's funeral. I almost forgot Mal,I was in for a few different things.a minor heart thing.a blood pressure thing.a cholestrol thing.a back thing.and a bronchitus thing!All about the same time!I had not seen a coctor in about 15 years and was long ovrerdue.Getting better everyday now.Just have to make a bunch of changes as I get closer to 50 Like the #1 issue which is to diet and exersize!It probably all mostsly stems from(my health that is)all that clean living I use to do in what I use to call my awkward years!(age 11-35)It took me a long timt to get it together. I lived and wanted to be those Skynyrd songs!And I did!My life is more of a spititual one now and god brought Janet into my life Feb. 17th 2001.And guess what also happened since the last time we talked? Me and Janet got Married Feb. 17th 2006!Yes!On our 5th year since the day we met aniversary to the day.Pretty cool huh?And now since we are all legal like in Gods eyes maybe we will be blessed with a baby too!Missed ya Mal...Peace and Love.....God Bless You.....Michael

And, holy cats, CONGRATULATIONS on the marriage!! I kept thinking you two were already married for some reason, even though you told me you weren't. Y'all tied the knot on Rickey's birthday!! Hey didn't you say you don't have Van Zant's albums? How about I copy the three of them for you as a little wedding/thank-you gift. You're trying for kids too? That's awesome!! I'll pray for you guys on that also.
I missed you too Michael, was wondering where you'd been but I'm so glad you're all right - you just keep getting better!

Awesome! I can't get into Van Zant II all that much (although I'm working on it), but I do like the first song, "Oklahama". I'm starting to love Brother To Brother very much, I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Rage", and "Livin' a Lie" and "Downright and Dangerous" and "Black Bottom Road" are my other favorites. On Get Right With The Man, they're ALL my favorites!! I love that album so much, there's not a song on there that I don't adore!!
And holy crap, an ulcer too?? :o( Gosh I hope you start getting better soon. What can you have done for the ulcer? Hope you feel better, you're in my prayers! Say "howdy" to Janet!!"

The "get right with the man" cd is my fav as well!!Songs on the others tend to grow on ya!Were the get right tunes suck ya in right away!Janet always asks about you and dad and how your fairing.Doing much better spiritualy and mentally!Now I just got to try a bit harder on the physical!Do my part!Stay steadfast!Stay disciplined!No side steppin!Mainly sticking to a good diet and exersize program and in time I could cure about 90-95% of whats wrong with me physically.So I have some hard work ahead and with lots of prayer I'm sure God will pull me thru the tougher times.I'm sure I can depend on him In times when it gets hard.All's I got to do is get down on my knees and ask.

If you like what you like now,and I think I kinda know your taste's for southern music.Then as the years pass I am sure you will be diggin a good 90% of em very soon!And ...You know me and will pick up on em even quicker now!Little by little I will be taping and a burning you all kinds a goodies....And yes i'm gonna do it(health matters) with a lot of help from someone who loves me very much and only wants the best for me!And's a lot tougher than me.So when I am weak...I'll just let him run the show.
